As promised, I am sharing access to the Belle Bag which we sewed together as a small group in February of 2024. I hope you enjoy the project and encourage you to customize it to suit your needs.
A little bit country and a little bit rock n' roll, Belle can be crafted from a variety of materials including waxed canvas, vinyl, leather, faux leather, home decor, waterproof canvas, cotton and more!
For your first attempt, I suggest using a mid weight home decor / canvas fabric in two coordinating prints or a quilt weight cotton backed with light weight fusible fleece in two coordinating prints.
Belle is a mid size bag perfect for daily use and features:
- A front and rear exterior pocket that is well disguised
- Double shoulder straps
- A removable crossbody strap
- Zipper top closure
- 5 interior slip pockets
- Extra long attached key fob
- A spacious interior compartment
Approximate finished measurements:
11" across the base
8" tall
4" deep
Like most of my designs, The Belle Bag is crafted from simple shapes which can be easily cut out using a rotary cutter, mat and acrylic ruler. This type of sewing is great for visual learners and new sewists who would benefit from some confidence building projects.
