Experimenting with My Quilted Coat
I've been experimenting with fusible fleece as a backing for my quilted coat. The idea emerged after seeing a friend's quilted wall hanging, and I was captivated by its structure and definition. With skepticism from some in our sewing group, I pushed forward, combining it with a stretchy knit backing that has cooling properties to it. The result? A beautifully structured quilted panel with minimal puckering, ready for its debut!
Breaking the rules taught me a valuable lesson: follow your instincts and be willing to innovate with sustainable materials. This week, I challenge you to take that brave step in your crafting.
