Welcome to another cozy check-in from Studio 365. As the seasons shift and our sewing rooms start to feel extra inviting, I’m thrilled to share what’s happening in our community this month. Monday nights: Featured Designer Sew-Alongs at 7 pm (ET)
Every Monday evening we gather in the live room to sew together, show our progress, compare fabric pulls, and just catch up. Each month we randomly select two designers, and everyone chooses the pattern and price point that fits their style and budget—stash-busting and splurging both welcome! It’s casual, friendly, and so motivating to see the same pattern come to life in different fabrics and hands.
For September, we’re sewing with Linds Handmade and Simply Classic. Join us on Monday, Sept 15 to see how everyone’s projects are coming along—there’s always a bit of show-and-tell, lots of “oohs and ahhs,” and plenty of practical tips flying around. The following week is our “Sew Whatever” meetup on Monday, Sept 22, where—as the name promises—you can bring anything to the table: a bag you’ve been meaning to finish, a gift project, a quick organizer, even some cutting or pressing you’ve been putting off. It all counts, and it all feels better together.
Big news: Year 4 of our Quilting Group begins!
What I’m most excited about is our quilting meeting on Monday, September 29 at 7 pm ET, where we kick off Year 4 with a fabulous sampler quilt designed by The Aqua Umbrella. The quilt is built from 26 blocks that range from 6” to 24”, and we’ll take it nice and slow—crafting three blocks at a time, together, on the last Monday meeting of each month. If you’ve always wanted to learn to quilt (or you’re ready to fall back in love with it), this is the perfect, gentle on-ramp with built-in friends and support.

- Featured Designer nights: Pre-cut what you can and label your pieces. If your pattern calls for structure, a light woven fusible interfacing is a great place to start. Have your clips, a turning tool, and a zipper foot nearby if you’re working on a bag.
- “Sew Whatever” week: Bring that half-done project you’ve been avoiding—we’ll help you get it over the finish line.
- Quilting kickoff: Fresh 80/12 needle, a true 1/4" seam guide, and a pressing plan will make your blocks sing. Press seams the same way across each set for consistent joins.
