Warning: Glitter Enclosed (And a Whole Lot of Glee!)

Grumpy old badgers, dancing unicorns, and crafty wizards unite...

Dearest fellow sparkle enthusiasts and purveyors of pure, unadulterated joy! Let’s be honest, there are mornings when the world feels like a grumpy old badger. But then there are mornings like this morning, the kind where you practically float out of bed, propelled by a tidal wave of creative excitement. And, let me tell you, this morning was a full-on, glitter-powered rocket launch!

Now, you know me, I’m a creature of habit. Coffee usually precedes everything. But today? Today, the siren call of the studio was too strong to resist. I tiptoed in, still half-dreaming of dancing unicorns and rainbow sherbet, and there they were: my first attempts at resin pouring, glistening like miniature galaxies.

A slight panic fluttered in my chest—a few molds had been, shall we say, enthusiastically overfilled. But fear not, for I learned a magical secret! Like a crafty wizard with a pair of sharp scissors, you can tame the unruly resin, trimming it away while it’s still delightfully rubbery. Sixteen hours later, the moment of truth arrived. Demolding! Oh, the sheer, unadulterated joy!

Picture this: transparent, sparkling treasures, catching the light like a thousand tiny diamonds. Forget coffee! I was practically vibrating with delight. And let's be real, the glitter? Oh, the glitter! It was like staring into a miniature universe, a swirling, shimmering symphony of sparkle. I was utterly, completely, and gloriously mesmerized. I mean, who wouldn't be? It was like capturing pure, unadulterated happiness in a mold!

Warning: Glitter Enclosed

Now, if you, like me, find yourself needing a portal to a world where worries melt away like cotton candy in the rain, I implore you: try resin pouring! Seriously, it’s like a mini-vacation for your soul. Forget doom-scrolling through the news, where every headline feels like a tiny gremlin poking you with a stick. For less than $40, you can create your own pocket-sized worlds of wonder. It's a glorious escape, a chance to create something utterly beautiful.

And because I’m a firm believer in sharing the sparkle, here’s the video tutorial that guided my glittery journey:

DIY Epoxy Resin Bookmarks

And here are the magical supplies that made it all possible and hyperlinked to Amazon for your ease:

Resin (this size goes a long ways! I only used 1/4 cup of each for this first set of bookmarks)

Bookmark Molds (there are 4 molds in assorted sizes that are perfect for bag charms and zipper pulls as well as bookmarks)

In addition you will need: a mask, gloves, glitter, stirsticks, toothpick, plastic cups which you probabally have on hand.

But the fun doesn’t stop there! Oh no, my friends! These little gems are destined for greatness. Some will become dazzling bag charms, adding a touch of whimsy to every adventure. After all, bag charms are all the rage, haven’t you heard? Others will transform into elegant bookmarks, marking the pages of beloved stories with a sprinkle of stardust. And a few will become charming zipper pulls, adding a dash of sparkle to everyday life. Fun, right? It’s like spreading little pockets of joy wherever I go!

So, go forth, my fellow creators, and embrace the glitter! Let your imaginations run wild, and create something truly magical. And remember, a little sparkle can brighten even the darkest of days.

Keep shining, and keep creating!

With a shower of glitter and a heart full of joy,

Andrea
